I only come here because it is local and convenient at times.
Unfortunately, the service here is a hit or miss. There is a unmistakable aura of, "I don't care about your patronage."
I think they get a whole lot of business from the college across the street and their revenue is steady enough to not care so much about customer service.
Also, you need to watch them closely while they are building your sandwich. They tend to rush you along as fast as possible and they skimp on ingredients at times. Somehow they always try to short you on mayo.
As long as you keep a close eye you should be able to get a decent sandwich. I just stick to the daily special to get more value. -

Worst experience I've had ever. I was in line and they let a homeless man cut in front of me. I ended up being told to go ahead of the man.
I asked the homeless man to give me space to which he proceeded to cuss at me. Why is there no security at this place?! The employee who ended up ringing me up rolled her eyes at me. I could see one of them laughing. What kind of customer service is this ?! I didn't even get a receipt. I'm filing a complaint to corporate. -

Update: I came back and had another absolutely terrible experience. I was hungry and decided to come here after class to get a sandwich. I decided to get the sub of the day 6 inch turkey on white bread. I went to the register and told the cashier I wanted to get the meal of the day which appeared to include the sub of the day, chips, a cookie and a drink for $6.98. There was a picture being promoted very largely on the menu that advertised this. Even the fine print said that the meal comes with the sandwich, chips, cookie and 20 oz drink. He told me very harshly and loudly in the silent restaurant that the meal does not come with what is being promoted but two cookies and the sandwich or something else. I did not understand what he was telling me because I was shocked at the way that he was communicating to me. He was talking to me in an argumentative tone of voice and humiliated me in front of the rest of the customers in line when all I wanted was to understand what the meal really included. This man was older, Latino and appeared to be bald. He spoke very loudly, rudely and with his hands. His name is apparently Oscar according to the person who answered the store's phone. I also asked if there was a manager or shift leader I could speak with and they said they didn't have one! That's okay though, because I got corporate's number and let them know of this terrible experience that ruined my day. Now I truly am never coming back and I warn others to stay away even if you just want a sandwich meal like I did.

The employees are im a way careless and seem like they don't like their jobs, but the food taste the same as any other subway but i think a little more pricey since its in santa monica. If you are all about costumer service i would not recommend you go there. But if you're all about come in and leave, then it wouldn't really matter. But overall 2 stars since its pricey and employees no good.
